to install the script.

Change permissions of the brotherhoods.cgi file to 755.

Create a folder that you want to install Brotherhoods into. When you call the
.cgi, the zip will automatically be unzipped and installed into that folder.

Create a MySQL database.

Now call the .cgi by typing in http://yoursite.com/brotherhoods.cgi

You will then be asked if you want to install or update. You want to install.
Enter the folder where you want to install brotherhoods and your MySQL
database info and anything else - I think it asks for an email. That email will
be your user name just like in Delavo

That's it. PLEASE NOTE: If you have installed Delavo, it is EXACTLY the same
procedure so you can follow the Delavo installation manual I wrote!

G'day Donna,

Thanks for your help, it's most welcome I have done as you said and my Brotherhoods section of the site: URL Deleted by Admin REASON: Cannot post the URL to your site in the body of your post is working!
Now all I need to do is...Search around in admin and personalise things for members

I take-it that I can now delete the brotherhoods.zip and the brotherhoods.cgi files from my root folder? I'll wait on your confirmation before doing so.

Thanks again Donna.

Default Brotherhoods Script

Hi Bill

You are welcome.

Yes, you can now delete those files. Actually for security reasons, it is
suggested that you do delete them.

Hi Ellery,

nice to meet you in the brotherhood.

In the beginning you will need some time to find your money makers, to find the niche topic and business model that works for you.

For now, the best way to make 4 figures fast is to sell your service. Sell one or two web sites to businesses in your town and you've reached your goal.

It's more likely that you will make $1.000+ doing that, than selling an ebook to no list. People might even ask, what authority you have on writing a blogging book when you do not make money with blogs. (except of course the topic is blogging for fun)

While there's plenty of 'offline business' products around, if you know how to create a web site, you don't need them.

Read all threads at warriorforum about the topic 'offline business' and just talk to business owners next door. They are so incompetent in the topic, that anyone with even a little bit of Internet knowledge can help them easily.

Ralf

Ellery,

I have some experience with "local business" consulting and recommend that you check out localbizbuilders even before the WF for this niche. There are lots of HELPFUL (not critical) people there to help you get a plan together. Good luck.

I've been around the IM scene now for far too long without a positive ROI result - but I know in my heart that it is just because I have not dropped the "Hobby" mentality and set to work in solid earnest to make a living out of it. I'm only part-time On Line but have to change my own mind set and ignore shiny new projects while I get just one working fully.
